SafeCH2 - Compressed Hydrogen Storage

SafeCH2
A safe modular hydrogen storage for marine and other industrial applications.
SafeCH2 is a project to develop a safe modular hydrogen storage system.
Key objectives of the project are:
-
Design a safe system, reducing potential leak sources
-
Standardise design and fabrication to reduce cost and delivery schedule
-
Optimise system layout for operation and maintenance
-
Certify the system with Classification Society to streamline approvals for use on candidate vessels
-
Optimise offsite fabrication and testing process to achieve high quality and reduced cost per unit

The project is lead by AZ Eng Ltd - Engineering Consultancy with funding support from InnovateUK.
The system is currently undergoing Approval in Principal Certification Review by LR.
